Today I installed Beta 2 of Microsoft Office SharePoint Services 2007 on a test server here at work. Wow - this is deep. Obviously very powerful, and the few end-users to whom I've shown the wiki functionality have been blown away, so that's a good sign.

We intend on using SharePoint as a one-stop-shop for our Intranet - documents, discussions, news etc. We'll have to put a lot of thought into the structure of the "sites" and the permissions etc. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for other people's ideas regarding SharePoint "best practices".

Anyway, early indications are positive. I'll keep playing with this installation and see how many users I can get excited about MOSS ... the more buzz the better.
