Handy IE7 Keyboard Shortcuts
Straight from the horse's mouth over at the Internet Explorer Team Blog, here are some handy keyboard shortcuts for getting to the new Favorites Center in Internet Explorer 7.
- Ctrl+H = History
- Ctrl+I = Favorites
- Ctrl+J = Feeds
Outstanding! Anything that lets me keep working without reaching for the mouse gets my vote!
Edit: Here are a few more; some old, some new:
- Ctrl+B = Organize Favorites
- Ctrl+D = Add current page to Favorites
- Ctrl+E = Jump to the search box at the top-right
- Ctrl+L = Open a URL (also Ctrl+O)
- Ctrl+Q = Toggle QuickTabs
- Ctrl+R = Refresh the current page
- Ctrl+T = Open a new tab
- Ctrl+W = Close the current tab
As I find more I'll add them here. I'm not going to worry about the shortcuts that work everywhere, like Ctrl+C for copy and Ctrl+F for find.
Update! Those guys over at the Internet Explorer Team Weblog are such copy cats! :-)

On the IE blog it says ALT + D gives focus to the address bar, but so does F6 in Firefox and IE6. Does it still do that in IE7?

Sure does. Even thought the "Address" label isn't next to the address bar.
