I notice that SlashDot this morning linked to a review of the new GeForce 7800 GTX card from nVidia. It soundly kicks the ass of the 6800 GT, and even scores better in benchmarks than two SLI'd 6800 GTs.

This is why I'm glad I only bought a 6600 GT in my new PC. I can live with the less powerful, cheaper card for now. It would have been a waste of money to go with a full 6800 GT when these new cards were just around the corner.

ATI have a new card coming out soon, too, which will no-doubt stack up pretty well against the 7800 series.

ps. I need a name for my new PC! Leave me a comment if you have any cool ideas for machine names.
